On April 19, 2010 the East West Players held their 44th Anniversary Visionary Awards Dinner and Silent Auction at the Universal City Hilton. With the help of their sponsors: Southern California Edison, CBS, FOX, NBC and the Walt Disney Company, they brought the whos-who in the entertainment business to give out four Visionary Awards. "The award salutes artists who have raised the visibility of the Asian Pacific American community through theater, film and television. Proceeds from the evening will benefit East West Players educational and artistic programs." Lea Solanga and Tamilyn Tomita kept the show lively and moving along smoothly as they honored the four awardees:

PIXAR Animation Studios, accepted by Ricky Nierva
Jordan Nagai, Actor (voice of Russell in Disney Pixar's "UP")
Mike Shinoda, Musician (Linkin Park), Visual Artist
Wenda Fong, FOX V.P. of Alternative Entertainment

The show was rounded out with some great Asian American performers that have made great strives in influencing the community and the youth at large. The East West Players closed with inviting everyone to celebrate the companies 45th year and announced their upcoming projects.
